Trash Computer with the Most Expensive Memory You will Pay for in Your Life.

I bought it in june 2014. november 2015 the motherboard gave up. called Lenovo which "as a courtesy" troubleshooted the computer with me by telling me to "turn it off and on." I explained them that I knew the motherboard gave out because the light indicators (wifi and harddrive) did not come up, i changed the rams (to confirm), and i could heard the harddrive spinning, and the cd-drive would open and close no problem, additionally, i tried to project the image to another screen (obviously didnt work). So after telling the lenovo rep that i knew the motherboard gave out (for the third or fourth time), they put me on hold for a few minutes to see if there was "anything else" they could do to troubleshoot. Lenovo rep came back, and told me they could have it sent to their center to diagnose ($99), and repair it (whatever $ amount it took) with the $99 being a credit towards "parts" as needed. So, i just asked for the price of a replacement motherboard to do it myself…. $300!!! This computer cost me $429.01 for 1.5 year of service. The average life for a computer in my hands has been 7years since 1996!!! So…. Out came the DDR3 RAM and into my Toshiba (thank you Toshiba) Laptop, and 1TB HDD for which I had a usb cable so that I could transfer my data to my other HP laptop (thank you HP). The rest, to the Best Buy recycling center (thank you Best Buy). In conclusion, Lenovo sold me the biggest trash computer, with the most expensive memory i have ever used.

PS: I have never taken the time to give a review like this to any other product, but for $280.00/yr wasted on this computer…. Here is my review for free.

These are my 2nd & 3rd Lenovo PC’s. I usually by Dell but these are being used in public areas and wanted a reliable PC bujt not too expensive in case something happens.
The boxes are smartly designed and trim.
Out of the box the PC’s are impressive. Start up was easy and quick.
I complete the "registration" and immediately upgrade to WIN8.1
System is quick and responsive. Screen is clear and bright.
A wireless mouse and keyboard would have made this a great combo.
Have not been disappointed with performance. The E2 AMD works well.
A slight "run" noise is barely audible from one of the nits but I did purchase extended warranty so… not worried about.

Only short coming is the wireless. The wireless is extremely weak. It cannot connect to a wireless system that is30′ away in the next room. My cheap tablet picks up our wireless at the same spot with 4 bars and the neighbors wireless which is 300′ away. with 2 bars. I will probably invest in a secondary wireless "card".

Overall I have to say Lenovo made a good product here and I would buy one again.

This isn’t a quite fast computer, specially if you a looking to play games in it, But it’s a great computer for the average everyday use (emails, chat, writing, listing to music, internet surfing, I even use it for some designing softwares and it performance OK), for this it is quite fast. The size it’s perfect, and the design it’s gorgeous; the keyboard, though I’m from Venezuela and the keyboard it’s in english, it’s perfectly comfortable. The size of the screen looks smaller than actually is, but it’s has great HD quaility. Sound, awesome!
Some things to clariry, Windows 8 isn’t activated, Microsoft office isn’t there, keyboard and mouse are wired.

Imagine a desktop computer without a CPU… this computer has it all, quick response time, no humming fan noises, simple to set up and operate and tons of storage capacity. It’s quick and responsive, colours are vibrant and the sound is excellent. Lots of usb ports and the built in camera and mic work just fine. The only drawback I found was the keyboard, which was a bit on the cheap side but I’m using my old one so not really an issue. Delivery time was even early!! I would highly recommend this computer to anyone.
