Dashboard Mounting Instructions
1. Choose a suitable location for disk (and pedestal) installation.
Do not place mount in or near an air bag deployment zone or where it will obstruct view of the road or hinder vehicle operation.
2. Clean the dashboard surface area thoroughly with alcohol pad to ensure dashboard is clean and free of any dashboard conditioners or other treatments.
3. Remove the paper backing of the disk and place on the cleaned surface. Press the top of the disk down firmly to allow the adhesive to stick to the surface. Allow 24 hours for the adhesive to cure to the surface before applying any pressure.
4. Place the suction cup of the pedestal (sold separately) firmly down on the center of the mounting disk and lower the securing lever.

Removal Instructions
1. Prepare the surface around the disk by applying a generous amount of rubbing alcohol or similar adhesive removal product to the area with a cotton swab. Let the liquid saturate the adhesive area for about a minute.
2. Take a long piece of dental floss in each hand and slowly work back and forth at the base of the adhesive disk. Gently use the dental floss to cut the adhesive from the dashboard until the black plastic disk is removed.
3. If the sticky adhesive area breaks apart or does not come off completely, re-apply a small amount of alcohol (or adhesive removal liquid) and carefully lift off the remaining area by hand.

Note: Adhesive disk is intended for semi-permanent installation and one-time application. Once removed, it can’t be reapplied.

The AP020 90mm adhesive mounting disk allows you to mount an Arkon or third-party 80mm windshield suction mounting pedestal to your car’s dashboard, including mounting pedestals for Garmin and TomTom GPS devices. (Note that the disc is meant to be a bit larger than the mount to ensure a secure fit.) This package includes only the adhesive disk (mounting pedestals sold separately). To apply the adhesive disk to the car’s dashboard, simply remove the paper backing from the back of the plastic 3M dash mount disc, then place and press down on a previously cleaned surface. (Use included alcohol pad to ensure mounting area is clean and free of any dashboard conditioners or other treatments. For best results, allow 24 hours for the adhesive to cure before securing the base of the mount to the center of the disk.) While this disk is meant to be a semi-permanent solution, the disk can be removed from the dash by applying a generous amount of rubbing alcohol or similar adhesive removal product to the area with a cotton swab. The APVHB20 90mm adhesive mounting disk features an extra-strength 3M VHB adhesive and allows you to securely mount an Arkon or third-party 80mm windshield suction mounting pedestal to your car’s dashboard. Applicable Arkon mounting pedestal models include CM017-KST-2SH, CM078WD-SBH, RM080AMPS, RM0792TWD, and RM0802T. (Note that the disc is meant to be a bit larger than the mount to ensure a secure fit.) This package includes only the extra-strength adhesive disk (mounting pedestals sold separately). To apply the adhesive disk to the car’s dashboard, simply remove the paper backing from the back of the plastic 3M VHB dash mount disc, then place and press down on a previously cleaned surface. (Allow 24 hours for the adhesive to cure before securing the base of the mounting pedestal to the center of the disk for best results.) WARNING: Use caution and discretion when adhering APVHB20 to your car dashboard or other flat surface. This disk uses 3M VHB adhesive, which is designed to be a PERMANENT solution. Use of this disk may result in permanent adherence to the selected surface. Professional strength solvents or tools may be helpful in removing the adhesive. 3M 5952 Heavy Duty Mounting VHB Tape is black, double-coated VHB adhesive tape with an acrylic foam core. A modified acrylic adhesive is on both sides of very conformable foam which provides adhesion to the broadest range of substrates/surfaces, including most powder coated paints. 3M VHB Tape provides the convenience and simplicity of a tape fastener and are ideal for use in many interior and exterior bonding applications. In many situations, they can replace rivets, spot welds, liquid adhesives and other permanent fasteners.
